Hi, I live in Salt Lake City Utah, and I enjoy reading your blogs. I’m a facility manager for a corporation out here and I would greatly appreciate it if you would give suggestions on hiring a cleaning company. So far we have been unsuccessful.
Thanks,
Sarah V.
Hi Sarah! Thanks for writing us! The easy answer to your question would be to hire us, but unfortunately we aren’t in Salt Lake City, and we’re a cleaning company in Atlanta.
Seriously, they are many factors to consider when selecting a maintenance company. First make a note of the things that are important to you such as green cleaning, highly trained employees, references, proof of insurance, etc. After determining what’s important to you and your company make sure they offer those services and/or qualities.
Ask the contact person about their quality analysis program (if they have one). You definitely want to know how they monitor the work their employees do. The company you contract with will consist of humans so naturally they will make mistakes but what’s more important is how promptly they address and correct the mistake.
It isn’t a good idea to base your decision solely on price although it is an important factor. Many of our current clients have made the mistake of contracting a cleaning company because they offered the lowest bid. Unfortunately, they were very disappointed with the service they received. Some didn’t even show up which was shocking to me. Remember a lot of times you get what you pay for.
Hope this helps! Good luck on finding the best maintenance company for your organization.
